March 2005 Meeting

SPAUG would like to recognize F. N. Robinson as the oldest SPAUG Member in the world. He turned 90 years old on March 9th, 2005. He is still a practicing Professional Structural Engineer to this day. His State of Texas license number is 2141. Wow, that is a small number. Happy Birthday!

 

October 2001 Meeting with Lynn Allen

SPAUG and WTAUG would like to thank Lynn Allen for a great presentation as always. We would also like to thank SPC for the use of the Byron Martin ATC in Lubbock.

Lynn Allen is known as the worldwide Technical Evangelist for Autodesk in San Rafael, California, speaking to over 15,000 users each year. For the past eight years she has written a monthly column in CADENCE Magazine called, "Circles and Lines". Lynn started using AutoCAD with Release 1.4, over 16 years ago, and has taught at the corporate and collegiate level for 13 years. She is consistently one of the highest rated speakers at Autodesk University and a sought after public speaker with a unique comedic style. Her latest writing endeavor is entitled, AutoCAD Inside and Out, The Best of Lynn Allen.

SPAUG would like to thank Pete Kelsey of K-Tek Solutions for demonstrating the capabilities of the newest release of Autodesk’s Land Desktop and Steven Means for allowing us to meet at the ATC in Levelland.  

Pete Kelsey is an Autodesk AEC Consultant, an Autodesk Certified Instructor, an Autodesk Technical Specialist, and an Autodesk E-Learning Provider based in Phoenix, Arizona. The founder and CEO of K-Tek Solutions, Pete specializes in Land Development Desktop, Autodesk Civil Design, Autodesk Survey, AutoCAD Map, and CAD Overlay. His classes, given throughout the world, are known for reflecting his years of experience as a civil designer. Pete was one of the highest rated speakers at Autodesk University in 1997 and at AEC Systems the last several years. He conducts classes at the University of New Mexico, the University of Advancing Computer Technology, ITT Technical Institute and at ATC's around the world. Pete also regularly serves as consultant to some of the largest AE firms in the country solving CAD implementation, standardization, customization, and training issues.

 

August 2001 Seminar on AutoCAD 2002

SPAUG would like to thank Billy Rasco and Bobby Gutierrez of ECAD, Inc. for giving the AutoCAD users in the Lubbock Area a Free Seminar on the new features of AutoCAD 2002.

Due to the lack of meeting attendance, I have decided to discontinue posting the monthly lessons.
The 1997 Archive will still be available (see below). I know this will affect those who are unable to
attend meetings, but I feel it is necessary in order to increase meeting attendance.
Sorry for any inconvenience I have caused.
